How Insulting
A Bennington, Vt., man was arrested on November 13, 2011, not long after his ex-girlfriend found the word "SULT" keyed into the hood of her car. The woman, Brittany Speckman, contacted police as soon as it happened. According to an affidavit filed in Superior Court, Speckman told cops she suspected her old boyfriend, Adam Hall, 34, was the mastermind behind the message, because he had recently been heard badmouthing her to a friend. Hall denied any involvement, but when called to the police station to receive a citation, and asked to write "you are a slut" on a piece of paper, he wrote "sult." Hall was arrested and charged with unlawful mischief.
