George Wesley Huguely V (pictured), originally of Chevy Chase, Md., was born August 17, 1987, in Washington, D.C., to wealthy couple George Huguely IV, a self-employed investor whose family made its money in building supplies, and Marta Murphy. Huguely attended the prestigious Landon School for boys in Bethesda where, in addition to his studies, he was quarterback on the football team and an All-American in lacrosse. He went on play lacrosse for U.Va.'s men's team, the Virginia Cavaliers, where during the 2009 to 2010 lacrosse season he was a midfielder. A source that asked to remain unidentified told abcnews.com
that, "[Huguely] was always well liked well respected and had plenty of friends," adding that he could be described as a "big man on campus."
