Richard Carelli and Michele Pinkerton
April 7, 2008: After being on the run for over two months, a San Francisco couple wanted for the murder of their landlord, Leonard Hoskins, 49, were captured in Baja Mexico, with their two young children in tow. That February, Hoskins' body had been found inside a van towed after standing outside of the San Francisco house for weeks. The couple, both methamphetamine users, were brought back to San Francisco to face a judge, who was forced to declare a mistrial in the case when the jury could not reach a verdict. As part of a plea deal, Carelli pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in February, 2011, and will serve six years in prison.
