New York district attorneys alleged that Lisa Eatmon's married lover, Roscoe Glinton, shot the 8-month pregnant woman in the head and dumped her in the Hudson River after she refused to get rid of the child. A jury convicted the former sanitation worker of Eatmon's murder based on evidence of her DNA at the sanitation warehouse where Glinton worked, which was also where they say he carried out the crime. In New York, where murder is defined as the death of a living person, Glinton was not punished separately for killing the fetus.
