Zebra Mayhem
On December 1, 2011, serious delays during Atlanta's afternoon rush-hour traffic were caused, surprisingly, by a zebra, 12, named Lima, wandering the highways. Lima had apparently escaped from the nearby Ringling Bros. Circus, and found itself on Interstate 85 near the down town area at around 5 p.m. According to one witness, "All of a sudden, a freaking zebra comes running down the street like a car. Five or six police cars were in hot pursuit."

A terrified Lima got close enough to a metro station to consider taking public transit, but veered away at the last minute. Police followed it with motorcycles until it could be captured by its handler, then police cruisers escorted Lima and handler to a trailer that safely took it back to the circus. Check out the video.
