A former anchor for KSAT-12 television in San Antonio, Karen Gallagher was arrested on May 11, 2011, after allegedly stealing a bottle of hydrocodone from someone's medicine cabinet during a party, and then using the information on the bottle to fraudulently obtain more. According to an affidavit, Gallagher was seen on pharmacy surveillance video picking up a refill she allegedly phoned in using the victim's name. The victim alerted police after she received a phone call from the pharmacy notifying her of the refill. Gallagher was charged with prescription fraud.
