Runs Hot and Cold
In late May 2011, Lynn Baggett (pictured), 51, invited her elderly, wheelchair-bound neighbor, 74, to dinner at her Chicago apartment and then poured a five-gallon pot of boiling water over her guest's head. The victim, who suffered second-degree burns to her face, forehead, scalp, neck, back and shoulders, was able to roll herself out of the apartment and find someone to call 911. Baggett was charged with aggravated battery to a senior citizen and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
