Mother Captures Would-be Abductor With Large Set of Pliers
Homeless man Micah Green (pictured), 29, allegedly tried to snatch a young Orlando, Fla., girl on her way home from school in April 2011. The girl got away, ran home and told her mother what happened. The mother took the girl in her car and tracked down her daughter's assailant. When the daughter identified Green to her mother, her mother jumped out of the car brandishing a heavy set of pliers and chased a screaming Green into a nearby convenience store. According to police, Green entered the store screaming, "She's going to kill me!" After talking to the girl's mother, staff detained Green until police arrived. Green was charged with attempted kidnapping and held on $50,000 bail. When asked about the incident, Green, who has been arrested ten times since 2002, claimed to be completely innocent, the victim of a "publicity stunt."
