Cancer Victim Tackles Bank Robber
On April 1, 2011, cancer patient Helen Dunsford (pictured), 66, was at her Florida bank when Renee Lee Green, 32, went up to a teller, announced that she had a gun and demanded $10,000. Dunsford sprang into action, according to fellow-customer Pat Kaveney. Kaveney reported that Dunsford "grabbed Green in a bear hug and slammed her to the floor, saying, 'I've got cancer. You could kill me if you want!'"
