Beth Carpenter
Beth Carpenter was a successful Connecticut attorney involved with her boss, Haiman Clein. Twenty-two years her senior, Clein said he became so obsessed with his redheaded girlfriend that he agreed to arrange the murder of her brother-in-law.

After making a deal with prosecutors, Clein testified that at Carpenter's request he hired his cocaine supplier to murder Buzz Clinton, the husband of Carpenter's sister, whom she claimed was mistreating her niece. Carpenter was convicted of murder and given a life sentence.
