El Tin Larin
March 25, 2011: professional party clown Jose Guadalupe Jimenez, 41, of Anaheim, Calif., aka El Tin Larin, was arrested for the January 2002 rape of a girl, 12. Fullerton, Calif. police Sgt. Andrew Goodrich told ABC Los Angeles station KABC-TV that, "She was abducted and raped by an unknown man that at the time was only described as wearing a clown outfit." According to Orange County prosecutors, the clown grabbed her from a fast-food stand around midnight, drove off with her, and raped in the car in a nearby school parking lot. He then drove to a hotel. The girl escaped when he stopped the car.

When Jimenez was arrested in 2010 for misdemeanor child abuse, investigators took a D.N.A. sample, which matched the rapist's D.N.A. in the girl's case. Jimenez was charged with two counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14, a count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and a count of forcible lewd act on a child under 14. He faces 25 years in prison if convicted. Bail was set at $1 million.
