Man Facebooked After Killing Mom
Man Facebooked After Killing Mom
On April 5, Colorado Springs man Rayshawn Laster, 27, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the shooting death of his mother, 49-year-old Brenda Laster-Taylor. On December 30, police arrived at Laster-Taylor's home after she called 911 during an argument with her son. When police got there, Laster had already left, but later came back and shot Laster-Taylor in the head. Following the shooting, Laster reportedly sent a text message to a neighbor, which read, "i killed brenda." He also took to Facebook, publishing several statuses suggesting he'd done something terrible. Among the statuses, seen above, was "Im sorry for nothing. My journey has come to an end." Laster, a known gang member, was sentenced to life without parole.
