Josh Brolin, a best supporting actor nominee for his role in the Gus Van Sant film Milk, was arrested in July 2008 along with Casino Royale actor Jeffrey Wright. The two men, who co-starred in Oliver Stone's W, a biopic about George W. Bush, were arrested for interfering with an officer at the Stray Cat bar in Shreveport, Louisiana after an alleged bar fight. Both Brolin and Wright, who played Colin Powell in W, were cleared of all charges. In 2004, the No Country for Old Men star was arrested for spousal battery after his wife, Nights in Rodanthe actress Diane Lane, called the police claiming he had hit her. Brolin was released on $20,000 bail.
