Non-Emergency 911
Keith Gaylor, 24, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was home alone On October 26, 2011, and decided to make a friend on Craigslist while his live-in girlfriend was out. He connected with a woman and invited her over, but before she got there, at about 3 a.m., his girlfriend returned home. In a moment of what can only be described as idiocy blinded by panic, Gaylor called 911 to report an armed female banging at his door, and tried to have his craigslist date arrested. The call brought 5 officers to the residence, who initially tried to arrest the woman. Police figured out pretty quickly that there was something fishy about Gaylor's home invasion story and slapped him with a summons for placing a false report to authorities, a misdemeanor.
