Panic

Jim Morel wanted to know if his good friend—although, he said later, many of Ant's friends suspected he'd had something to do with Marina's death from day one—could have played a part in the crime.

"That's what I asked," Jim told me later. "I asked Jay, 'What were you doing?' And he said, 'I was just freaked out.' "

But then, after perhaps feeling as though he could put his full trust in Jim, Jason Weir opened up.

"He told me Ant was downstairs waiting in the car. He was kinda keeping a lookout."

And then he explained exactly what he knew—what really happened that day when Marina lost her life.

Jim was in a rough spot when he left TGIFriday's restaurant in Norton with Jason Weir on October 13, 2002.

What should I do? Turn in my friends?
