In a handwritten statement, Casey Anthony claimed that June 9, 2008, was the last time she saw her daughter alive. Detectives found holes in her statements, claiming that Casey was alive and with her grandmother on June 15. Casey Anthony was famously acquitted of killing Caylee.

Today in Crime History: Claus von Bulow’s Second Trial Draws to a Close

On June 5, 1985, the prosecution and defense made their closing arguments to the jury that would acquit Claus von Bulow of attempting to murder his wife Sunny. She had fallen into a permanent vegetative state after being given an overdose of insulin. Von Bulow, a wealthy socialite, was convicted at his first trial but that verdict was later overturned.

Accused Serial Killer Representing Himself in Court Selects Own Jury

An elderly man suspected in multiple killings is set to go to trial on four counts of murder. Joseph Naso, 79, who is representing himself in the California courtroom, screened potential jurors Monday. According to local news station KTVU, Naso asked questions that indicated he was trying to select jurors who had not been exposed to much media coverage about his case.
