Prosecutors Drop Murder Charges Against Tennis Ref Lois Goodman

LA prosecutors were so certain that Lois Goodman murdered her husband they had the NYPD arrest her in New York City, rather than wait for her to return home. Last week, those same prosecutors dropped all charges against Goodman citing undisclosed new evidence that would make it impossible to prove their case.

Tennis Official’s Defense Goes on the Offensive

The tennis official accused of murder came out swinging this week as the defense team for Lois Goodman announced a former FBI polygraph expert tested her and concluded that she truthfully denied responsibility for the death of her husband Alan. Goodman, who was arrested in New York City just before the start of the US Open tennis tournament in which she was to serve as referee, has since been extradited to Los Angeles and freed on bail. She is confined to the Woodland Hills home where her husband Alan was found dead back in April.

Love Means Nothing to Tennis Official Accused of Murdering Husband

It was only a month before their 50th anniversary and to the outside world, Lois and Alan Goodman seemed to be a loving couple in their winter years. Alan had run an auto parts business, while his wife – nicknamed “Lolo” continued to work as a tennis official. When Alan was found dead in his apartment on April 17, 2012, Lois told police she thought he had injured himself falling downstairs. A police investigation revealed a darker story.
