Three Teens–Not Shooter–Charged in Alabama Girl’s Death

In April, four Alabama teens–Scott Byrd, Dylan Tyree, Daniel Parnell and Summer Moody–went to Gravine Island in the Tensaw river delta, where they allegedly broke into cabins. Three men who were on the island took notice of the teens, and one of them, authorities say, fired what was meant to be a warning shot. The bullet hit Moody, 17, in the head. She died ten days later.

Norway Killer Murders 77, Gets 21 Years

Anders Behring Breivik, known as the Norway Killer, grinned as a judge in an Oslo court sentenced him today to 25 years in prison for the murder of 77 people during a bombing and shooting spree in July 2011. Broadcast live on Norwegian television, Breivik, dressed in a black suit, addressed the court with a fascist one-armed salute as he was lead in the courtroom to hear the verdict in the presence of the victims’’ family members and survivors of the attacks.

Florida Man Shoots, Kills Door-to-Door Salesman

A Cape Coral, Fla., man is under arrest for killing an unarmed door-to-door salesman who was on his property to sell steak and lobster tails. He later told police, “I was in fear.”
