On September 28, 1984, police arrested Joe Hunt for the murder of conman Ron Levin. Hunt ran the lucrative Ponzi scheme known as the Billionaire Boys Club, but Levin managed to swindle the swindler out of more than $4 million. A movie based on Hunt’s story later inspired Lyle and Erik Menendez to kill their own parents for money.
