Today in Crime History: Eight Student Nurses Stabbed to Death

On July 13, 1966, Richard Speck killed eight student nurses at a dormitory, leaving behind a gruesome scene which turned the stomachs of even the most seasoned detectives. The one nurse managed to hide and later identified Speck, leading to his conviction. The address where the murders occurred, 2319 East 100th Street, is still believed by some to be haunted.
