Today in Crime History: House Fire Kills Three Children

On the early hours of the morning of December 4, 1979, the row house occupied by Edith Hastie and her four sons burned down. Firemen immediately suspected that the blaze, which killed three of Edith’s children, was set on purpose. Surely enough, those deaths, and many more that would follow, turned out to be the work of one of Britain’s most prolific killers, Bruce George Peter Lee.
