Convicted Son of Sam serial killer David Berkowitz was denied early release by a parole board in New York on Monday. Berkowitz has served 35 of his 25-to-life sentence for killing six and wounding two others 1976 and 1977 New York. The parole board acknowledged his prison ministry and clean record behind bars, but concluded none-the-less, that releasing Berkowitz would not be in society’s best interest. This was Berkowitz’ 6th time before the parole board. He won’t be eligible for parole for another two years.
