An Ohio man is in custody after allegedly placing an ad online for a stranger to help him beat his daughter, 11, and rape her with sex toys. According to detectives, such ads are not unusual. What is unusual about this case is that the suspect, Anthony Brinkman, 32, actually showed up at the meet with his child.

St. Louis detective Mike Slaughter described the content of the ad saying that Brinkman also wanted help finding a boyfriend for his daughter.

At one point while discussing the ad online with a female officer, Brinkman posted to his Facebook page, “No, i have a gf. But ud be nuts if ud move a guy in and him being alone with your 11 year old while your at work . I don’t take risks like that dummy.”

Slaughter told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, “It’s just a lot of talk for most of these guys, but this guy actually brought (the girl) to the scene to go ahead with the next step of enacting it.” Slaughter concluded, “If we hadn’t gotten involved and someone bad had gotten in touch with him, something bad would have happened to that little girl.”

The undercover officer arranged to meet Brinkman, who was arrested November 1, less than 48 hours after posting the ad. He was officially charged the next day with one count of attempted statutory sodomy. Brinkman reportedly expressed remorse as much at his actions as at his own stupidity. Slaughter, however, commented, “you don’t let it go that far if you don’t have intentions.”

It is unknown at this time if the girl had been sexually assaulted by her father before. She was placed into protective custody pending the arrival of family. Brinkman is being held an a $100,000 cash only bond.
