Retired Cop Arrested Filling Wife’s Hot Tub with Manure

You never really know how a person will react when served with divorce papers. In the case of this ex-cop, he went berserk and had to be subdued by police.

The calls started coming to police in Quebec when neighbors in the small town of Sainte-Émélie-de-l’Énergie saw a man, 64, dumping manure on his estranged wife’s property. When officers arrived they reportedly “saw a man with a tractor placing manure in the spa, or the hot tub, of his ex-wife and at the front door.” He had apparently been served with divorce papers that morning.

When confronted by police and ordered to stop, the police retiree reportedly tried to flee on his tractor, but according to Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, “He was arrested within minutes.” She added, “One police officer was injured, but from what I heard it was only minor injuries.” The charges include hit and run and assaulting a police officer. The man, whose name has not been released, had to be subdued with pepper spray.
