WATCH: Crocodile Bites Trainer’s Head

Crocodile trainer Pravit Suebmee, 27, who for eight years has been the guy who puts his head in the large reptile’s mouth, got the surprise of his career over the weekend, when during a performance on July 21, 2013, at around 11 a.m. the disgruntled crocodile clapped its jaws shut on his extended head and shook it. The crock quickly released Suebmee and seemed to slink off in a huff. The trainer had bite wounds on his face and neck, but was otherwise uninjured.

To the ordinary person, the explanation for the mishap seems obvious enough:  You stick your head in a crock’s mouth enough times and you’re going to get it bit. The farm’s owner, Uthen Youngprapakorn, however, believes that the trainer must have startled the animal by brushing it’s cheek while his head was in its mouth.
