Police in New York issued a missing child alert for Reginald Matthews, 10, on Saturday, December 22, 2012, when his frantic foster mother reported that he had not returned home from school. Reggie has been with his foster family for three months. He left the family’s Roosevelt Island, N.Y. home Friday, just one block from P.S. 217, where Reggie attends school, and where he was last seen. He never made it to his after-school program Saturday, and he never came home.

Reggie was wearing a red polo shirt, blue jeans, a black jacket, a blue winter hat, and neon green Adidas sneakers. He may wear black and green glasses. The boy is described as black, with black corn-rowed hair. He is 5-foot-1-inch tall and weighs 150 lbs. There is a mole behind his right ear.
