The other day we brought you the story of Holly Solomon, an Arizona woman who ran over her husband for reelecting Obama by not voting, even though Obama lost in Arizona. Today’s post-election-fallout news comes from Key West, Florida, home of the late Henry Hamilton, 64, owner of the Tropical Tan tanning salon and Romney supporter, who blamed Obama for his business troubles. Before the November 6, 2012, presidential election Hamilton told his partner, Michael Cossey, “if Barack gets re-elected, I’m not going to be around.” After the election Cossey told police that Hamilton “was very upset about the election results.” The two men had not spoken since.
On November 8, police, who had a standing request to perform welfare checks on Hamilton, who had long struggled with mental health issues, found Cossey asleep on the couch and Hamilton dead in the bedroom from an apparent overdose. The officer found two empty prescription bottles nearby, one of Xanax, an anti-anxiety medicine and the other for Seroquel, an antipsychotic. There was no suicide note, but on Hamilton’s will were scrawled the words “F*** Obama!”
According to police, “There’s absolutely no evidence of foul play.” Even so an autopsy was performed and cause of death is still pending.
