Man Found with Ear in Pocket, and Woman Hot Waxes Boyfriend

On October 26, 2012 Joseph Sidney Hall Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was arrested for allegedly assaulting the mother of his child, and holding her against her will. The victim reportedly showed visible injuries on her head, face, arms and legs, bite marks on her torso and a piece of her ear had been cut or torn off. She had broken ribs and a collapsed lung. The victim was taken to a hospital, the whereabouts of the child are not known, and Hall was booked into the county jail. When they searched him they found blood stains and clumps of the victim’s hair on him, and in his pocket the missing piece of her ear.

Just to show that women as well as men can be aggressors: On October 24 in Florida, DeLeon Springs woman Denise Harris, 39, was reportedly having a calm discussion with her boyfriend, Lemuel Courson, 38, about the fact that they were being evicted, when she got mad. According to Courson, Harris picked up a burning candle and poured the hot wax on his face and hair. According to the incident report, when he ran away from her she pursued him, bit him on the jaw, shoved him and punched him in the nose. The report noted that Courson in fact “had dried wax on the side of his face which lead into his hair.” Dried wax was also found on the sofa and coffee table in the living room. Harris was arrested and charged with battery.
