According to police in Trinity County Texas, Deputy Ricky Hope was sitting in his cruiser, outside the Trinity Community Fair on September 28, 2012, minding his own police business. Imagine his surprise when Justin Everette Rowe, 27, who seems to have decided to “put it to The Man,” walked up to the cruiser and with a pocket knife and scratched it from stem to stern. Now imagine Rowe’s surprise when he discovered that he cop car he had just keyed, had a cop in it. According to Officer Woody Wallace, police don’t know if Rowe saw the deputy sitting in the cruiser or not, adding, “I just know that he was drunk.” Rowe was charged with criminal mischief causing damages over $1,500 and under $20,000, which is a state-jail felony. He faces two years in jail.
Wallace was the subject a June attempt to show weird defiance to local police when Jonathan Thompson, 30, whom Wallace had arrested before on burglary charges, was arrested after a fight with his stepfather. This time when officers took his mugshot, Thompson reportedly said, “Make sure you get this one right here”, and showed them the prize of his collection: On his arm were tattooed the words, “Woody Wallace Can Suck My Dick.” Wallace reportedly saw the tattoo and said, “Is that real?” Thompson responded, “Yup.” Message delivered. Though Thompson does not face any additional charges for being a tool, he probably did not receive any preferential treatment at the jail.
