Missing Child Alert: Search for Skylar Neese Continues With Little Information

Skylar Neese. Handout photo.

Update: It has been one week since Skylar Neese was last seen. A Carolina Beach police detective told Crime Library this morning that his department’s collaboration with Star City Police began after an officer thought he saw a girl who matched Skylar’s description, but that there have been no other sightings since.  The Star City Police said they have no new information to give but that they are “continuously working on it.”

Star City Police  Chief Vic Propst announced yesterday that his department is now working with the Carolina Beach, N.C., police department after receiving a tip that someone saw Skylar Neese, 16, in that area.  The FBI is also assisting with the search.  Propst also said the department is still treating this as a missing persons case.

Star City, W.V., police are searching for Skylar Neese, 16, who was last seen Friday. She is described as about 5’4″ or 5’5″ tall and around 130 to 140 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing yellow shorts and a multicolored shirt. Those with any information are encouraged to call Star City Police at (304) 599-3550.
