A professional clown who goes by the moniker Sondance has been arrested after investigators say they found child pornography on his home computer.  Computer forensics specialists at the Fort Smith, Ark., police department tracked a child porn download on a file-sharing network to Thomas Harold Morgan, 47, and obtained a search warrant for his home.  According to Fort Smith Police spokesman Cpl. Steven Dooly, ”There was enough material on there that it would take them at least two or three weeks to go through all of it so there’s a lot of images.”  Morgan was arrested on a charge of distributing, possessing or viewing  matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.  At this point in the investigation, police say Morgan was not creating or uploading any images of children, and there are no accusations of abuse against him. Morgan was not in clown attire during the time of his arrest.

On his website, sondance.net, Morgan says he has “performed with circuses large and small” but that his “first love will always be the personal interaction that comes from entertaining for small groups.”  He also states that his educational background is in childhood development, so he “know(s) how to interact with kids.” On the “Where I’ve Been” section of his site, Morgan says he has performed at over two dozen locations, including various car dealerships, restaurants and stores.
