Man Calls 911 to Complain About Sandwich Order

East Hartford man Rother McLennon called 911 Wednesday to complain that the Grateful Deli, where he had ordered a sandwich, had messed up the order. McLennon told the operator that he “specifically asked for little turkey and little ham, a lot of cheese and a lot of mayonnaise.” He continued to explain to that the person who had made the sandwich had left, and that the person who had taken her place would not fix the problem, saying, “I mean, I just want to solve this the right way.” The dispatcher asked, “You’re calling 911 because you don’t like way that they’re making your sandwich?” He replied, “Exactly.” The dispatcher advised McLennon not the pay for the sandwich. McLennon thanked her for her help. Listen to the call.
