Fidel Urbina has been on the run since 1998, but was only granted the dubious honor of a spot on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list this week.  Urbina, 37, was arrested for allegedly beating and raping a woman in Chicago. While out on bond following that arrest, he allegedly raped and strangled to death another woman before fleeing. The woman’s body was later discovered in the trunk of a burned car.

“These crimes have demonstrated his violent nature and the need to locate and apprehend him before he can strike again,” said an FBI spokesman in Chicago.  Urbina stands between 5’11″ and 6’1″ tall, weighs between 165 and 175 pounds and has acne scars on his right cheek.  The FBI lists the following as his potential aliases: Lorenzo Maes, Fernando Ramos, Fidel Bahena, Fidel Urbina Aguirre, Lorenzo Fidel, Lorenzo M. Maes, Marcos Antonio, Victor Urbina, and “Tonorio.”

A reward of  $100,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Urbina, who may be hiding in Durango, Mexico. If you have information regarding Urbina’s whereabouts, you may submit a tip on the FBI’s website.
