A manhunt is officially underway for Arnoldo Jimenez, 30, for the stabbing death of his newlywed wife, Estrella Carrera, 26, who was found dead in her bathtub by police on May 13, 2012, after she failed to pick up her children. There was no sign of forced entry and Carrera was still wearing the dress from her reception 36 hours earlier. The couple had reportedly been dating for two years and had a son, 2. They decided to marry at City Hall, secretly, it seems, as Carrera only told her father about the wedding. They celebrated later with friends at a night club on Chicago’s north side.

Jimenez, who is known to drive a black Maserati, was nowhere to be found. He is described as being six feet tall and weighing 220 pounds. Jimenez apparently has a record of domestic abuse, though not with Carrera. Authorities issued a warrant for his arrest for first degree murder on Tuesday, are asking that he turn himself in.
